‘Puncak, a highland in West Java is one of my favourite places to photograph creatures. The amount of bugs that can be found there is quite remarkable. On the first day of our trip I stumbled upon a number of small, green katydids in the garden of the villa we were staying in. Most of them were on green vegetation, but this one on a yellow flower caught my eye. The conditions were slightly windy and it took several attempts before I was able to get the right settings. Luckily, the katydid was very cooperative and barely moved. After several attempts, I finally settled with this picture and it became one of my favourite images of the trip.’
