‘Liquid Gold was taken in April 2019 at Spittall beach, an unassuming area of coastline just south of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland. Part of a small rocky outcrop, I loved the striations of this small section and, in particular, the way the foreground sand makes the surrounding rock look like molten lava.

The image is made up of around 8 focus-stacked images processed in Lightroom and stacked in Photoshop.’
