Minghui says:
‘I went to Yiwulu Mountain in northern China to shoot the spring scenery. But I went early and the spring there is later than that in southern China. Many trees and plants had not yet sprouted, which presented a desolate scene.

Inside the pod of the black bean can be found structures which resemble small trees, soil and roots. I arranged three of the pods into rows to emphasise these analogous qualities. I finally found spring, but through my imagination.’
