‘These delicate mycena often grow on fallen pinecones, but you have to act quickly because their ephemeral beauty only lasts for a few days. By shooting close to the ground and using a wide aperture I was able to create a nice dreamlike effect. By selecting a cold white balance in-camera the image took on a mystical blue air.’
